Bagging an environmental solution Nov 02 2007
Environmentally conscious consumers have an alternative to using paper or plastic bags. The BioBag is catching on in thousands of communities around the world. The bag has been designed to compost within 45 days. BioBag Canada Inc. of Vancouver is a leader in the industry. President Greg Beresford was in Toronto to promote the BioBag at the Grocery Innovations Canada show. In this interview with Foodland Forum, he explains how they work and how they benefit the environment.




Weighing the cost of red tape Oct 25 2007
The George Morris Centre conducted a case study of hog farming, in which they focused their attention on the environmental impacts of livestock operations and the policy measures addressing these issues. The purpose of the study was to assess the costs of complying with environmental regulations, as pertaining to day-to-day farming operations.
